Little Witch

Hello! This is the first post I’ve probably done where it was almost up to date (I took these pictures yesterday).

Moving on… Yesterday my dad and I went to a figure drawing class, which we try to attend every Sunday. Since it was cold out I decided to wear some long socks with a skirt (one of the things I love to wear in fall). I ended up kind of looking like a little witch, but that’s okay because I’m already excited about Halloween and I like witches.

Striped socks and leggings were something I wore a lot in middle school. I should get some more…

As usual, I’m wearing my trademark bow. This time it’s purple to match my shirt and socks. The shoes I’m wearing belonged to my mom and she’s had them for around 20 years. Their only flaw is just some scuffs in the front! This is why Doc Martens are one of my favorites.

I really need to work on my posing. I look so bored.

I don’t know if it’s noticeable, but I also tried out some makeup again. This would be my fourth try and my second time wearing it in public. I like the subtle look so I just smoked out some purple on the edges of my eyes, put on some pale purple blush, and used a lipstick by Stila in the color Brulee.

I think I pose better when caught off guard. My dad took a picture when I was looking at a dog. XD

Too bad I’m not standing up in any of these… The skirt is around knee length and drapes so nicely with little bows tied on the sides (if you haven’t noticed, bows are “my thing”).

That’s about it for this post. We drew from around 3-6:30 and then took a walk in the park nearby. I would post my art on here but since they’re mainly nudes and not fashion related, I decided against it.

Have a sweet day!

Unexpected Walk in the Park

Hello little corvids! This is my most recent “adventure” while looking around for things to do on a weekend. Needing some wire for jewelry, my dad and I set off to find a craft store that would be open on a Sunday (blue laws…). On the way there we spotted a pretty looking park that we hadn’t been to before. Always in the mood for a walk, we decided to check it out and it was beautiful! Once I saw some nice bridges and water I knew I had to take some pictures there. I also knew that I lack content on here (I’m such an inconsistent blogger) so here was my attire for the day.

Despite my modeling face attempt, I had fun at the park. ^^

I thank my dad for taking these pictures.

I also recently got a pair of circular sunglasses. Woah…

There was also a super cute, curly-haired dog barking at everyone who passed by. Sadly, I didn’t take a picture because I thought it may make him more nervous.

I apologize for how short this is. I’m continuing to experiment with how Is like to set up this blog and my posts. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

A Trip to the Museum

During the summer my dad and I went to Boston. We normally go to arts museums wherever we go because he is an artist, but this time it was a little different. They had an art exhibit of fashion illustrations! Everything is done by Kenneth Paul Block. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. There were so many more that I could have taken. These are my favorites from the exhibit though.

Have a nice night!

Before the Sewing Class

This title is quite literal as these pictures and events were done before my dad and I were to attend a sewing class called Sewing 101 at Joann. Although I already knew how to use my sewing machine, I still had some issues with it and my dad wanted to learn how to sew so we took this class. Although we learned the very basics I think it helped us to understand the machines better and I was actually able to keep my thread from getting stuck this time!

Back to the before events… Being a, now, working kid and wanting to break old habits I’ve recently been trying to take care of my nails and paint them (which makes me less likely to bite them). This time I wanted something cute but not over-the-top. As a result I painted little ladybirds on my nails with some nail pens that I had never really used. The only downside of doing this was that I had no top coat so the designs got a little cracked.

This was my first time creating a design with nail art pens. How does it look?

As for my attire of the day, I wrote a slightly oversized cat tee with some shorts and sneakers. My default on a more relaxed day is normally just a causal tee and some sweats, or shorts for the summer.

I’m I succeeding at being “cool” yet? XD

Now, you may be wondering why I’m in a fitting room (or not). Almost right before the class started, my dad took me to get some pants at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet store at the mall where I work. I am honestly lacking in genuine pants… So, I picked out a cute navy pair with little white polka-dots. As I was there I remembered that I had also wanted a polo, something I have only one of and it doesn’t even fit anymore because I must’ve been much younger when I got it.

image
Here are the two together. So much blue!

Above is the polo I picked out paired with the pants I got. Initially, I hadn’t realized the two were matching. Although I could easily just go out with these and even my grey converse, it just seemed like too much color matching, which tends to show a lack of creativity (this “rule” can always be broken though, if it’s done right). I have since worn them separately with other things in my closet.

I hope you enjoyed this post and my attempt at giving style tips. More content is soon to come!
